EFT aka emotional freedom technique( aka tapping) is when you tap on acupressure points to aid in clearing out energy blockages. At a high level, acupuncture functions with the same underlying principle as tapping being that they both aim to harmonize the bodies energy centers. A major difference between them is that one involves needles and is invasive while the other one isn’t. Being that acupuncture is more invasive and can reach us on a deeper level it can be more effective but we’re here to talk about EFT so let’s get back to it.
As stated before tapping involves tapping on acupressure points. You’re not just doing a ‘SpongeBob dance off’ when you’re tapping, there are points along the acupressure meridians that are used.

EFT was developed in the 1980s and is based on a combination of energy medicine, thought field therapy, and acupuncture concepts. EFT has been successfully used for treating the symptoms of psychological conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I’ll include an article on other benefits of EFT.

There’s an opposition to everything and EFT is not an exception to the rule. There’s skepticism on if it actually is effective or a placebo but there have been studies to support it. I think it’s one of those things you have to be open for it to work. Believe me, I’m in that center space between believer and skeptic and for this, I got into the mindset of ‘why not’ and I found some benefits myself.

Personal Experiences
Â
I have used it to aid in clearing out blockages when it comes to money as well as mother and father wounds. (Those tend to end in a crying fest for me so have tissues on standby 😢) And I will say even though I haven’t been consistent with it I do feel an internal shift when it comes to those topics.
When I practice EFT, I feel grounded and present in my body. Best of all, it’s very inexpensive. I follow along with a YouTube video but as you graduate in feeling more comfortable with it you can develop your own routine or if you feel drawn to it, you can get certified.Â
After the experiences I’ve had I’m working to make it a more consistent part of my daily routine and I’d love to hear from you all. Any tips or experiences you’d like to share?
Thank you for reading. Passing along good vibes 😎
